Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist to prepare patients and perform routine radiographic procedures per physician orders and manuals. You will produce high-quality images, present results to Radiologists, and support the mission and values of the organization.

The role involves assisting students, maintaining safety, and collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver timely, accurate diagnoses while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• ARRT registered or registry-eligible; must pass within one year of hire.
• Two-year accredited Radiologic Technology program completed.
• VA State Radiologic Technologist License required for outpatient facilities.
• American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• Three years relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for radiology exams by confirming orders and patient identity.
• Perform radiology examinations on all age groups and maintain competency.
• Adhere to departmental policies and safety protocols.
• Maintain knowledge of diagnostic imaging services and equipment.
• Ensure safe environment and radiation safety practices.
• Supervise and mentor students in clinical settings.
