Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare seeks a Diagnostic Technologist to perform radiographic procedures and produce high-quality images for timely radiologist interpretation.

The role emphasizes patient safety, accuracy, and teamwork, with opportunities to support education programs and LEAN processes while delivering exceptional patient care.

This position requires ARRT certification, a two-year radiologic technology program, and state licensure; weekend/holiday rotation applies.

Qualifications

• ARRT registered or registry-eligible in Radiologic Technology.
• Completion of accredited two-year program in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
• VA State Radiologic Technologist License is required for all outpatient facilities.
• American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• Three years relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for radiology examinations by confirming orders and verifying identities.
• Performs radiology examinations on all patient age groups and maintains competency.
• Maintains a safe environment with radiation safety practices and LEAN initiatives.
• Mentors students and supports clinical education programs.
• Documents and bills procedures accurately.
