Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare seeks a Diagnostic Technologist to prepare patients and perform routine radiographic procedures in alignment with physician orders and the department manual. You will produce high-quality images and present results to Radiologists for timely interpretation, while supporting the hospital’s mission and community service goals.

Responsibilities include patient preparation, imaging across age groups, strict adherence to safety and quality standards, and mentoring students

Qualifications

• ARRT registered or registry-eligible required; pass exam within one year if eligible at hire.
• Completion of accredited two-year program in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
• VA State Radiologic Technologist License required for outpatient facilities.
• American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• Three years relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for radiology examinations by confirming orders, verifying identity, and obtaining medical histories.
• Perform radiology examinations on all age groups; maintain competency.
• Maintain safe environment and adhere to radiation safety practices.
• Demonstrate knowledge of diagnostic imaging services and activities.
• Supervise and instruct students; support school programs like Radiology cross-training.
