Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking a radiologic technologist to assess patients and perform routine radiographic procedures across facilities. The role includes mentoring junior staff and ensuring patient safety and image quality while following safety protocols.

Applicants should have completed an approved radiologic technology program, be ARRT-eligible or registered, and hold a current state license with BLS certification. Flexibility to travel between facilities is required.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved radiologic technology program.
• ARRT certification eligibility or registry eligible with registration within 90 days of employment.
• Current un­restricted license in the state of practice and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Verify physician orders and procedures for accuracy.
• Operate radiology equipment to complete imaging procedures per protocol.
• Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding and comfort.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and perform basic quality control.
• Assist in department operations including scheduling and inventory management.
• Adapt interactions to diverse patient populations and respect privacy.
