Job summary

MedStar Health – Radiologic Technologist II at MedStar Washington Hospital Center. We offer a limited-time $10,000 sign-on bonus and a night shift schedule: Monday-Friday, 10:30pm–7:00am. You’ll deliver safe, high-quality imaging care within a mission-driven system known for education and patient-centered care.

You will work with C-Arm/O-Arm support in OR procedures, participate in performance improvements, and mentor students and staff while maintaining ARRT standards and safety.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience in diagnostic radiography and fluoroscopy (XR/RF) required.
• ARRT certification required upon hire.
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist in Maryland and/or Virginia, as applicable, required upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate digital fluoroscopic and portable radiology equipment to obtain routine radiographs per physician specs.
• Provide diagnostic imaging for patients of all ages while adhering to radiation safety and protocols.
• Independently supports invasive procedures in the OR using a C-Arm and/or O-Arm.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance workflows, patient experience, quality and safety.
• Maintain a clean, safe, prepared work environment, including patient rooms and supplies in area.
• Communicate with patients to obtain medical history and explain procedures for comfort.
• Perform quality control and report equipment or environmental issues promptly.
• Document patient care activities in EHR and distribute final images to PACS timely.
• Uphold SPIRIT values and ARRT ethics; adhere to departmental policies and safety regulations.
