Job summary

MedStar Health in the Maryland-Washington, DC region is seeking a Radiologic Technologist at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital to deliver safe, high-quality imaging care in a team-based, mission-driven environment.

You will operate fluoroscopic and portable radiology equipment, adhere to radiation safety, and participate in training and quality initiatives while ensuring patient comfort and clear communication. A strong emphasis on ethics and patient care under ARRT standards is required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or Radiologic Technology certificate required.
• ARRT certification obtained by hire in MD / DC area.
• BLS certification required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate digital fluoroscopic and portable radiology equipment to obtain routine radiographs as per physician specs.
• Ensure patient safety and radiation safety compliance while imaging across ages.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and staff training.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas and manage supplies in assigned area.
• Communicate with patients to obtain history and explain procedures clearly.
• Perform quality control and report equipment or environmental issues promptly.
• Document care activities in EHR and distribute final images to PACS for interpretation.
• Adhere to SPIRIT values and ARRT ethics in all interactions.
