Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist to operate conventional, fluoroscopic, and portable radiology equipment for routine radiographs across multiple locations in the DC/VA area. Qualifications

• Associate degree.
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technology) certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for radiograph and properly positions for X-ray exam.
• Assists in the administration of drugs and/or contrast agents and selects proper technical factors.
• Enters data into the Radiology Information System (MARS) for medical records, billing, statistics, and quality assurance purposes; provides guidance to radiology students as needed.
• Maintains work area in a clean and orderly condition; ensures exam room has proper supplies and performs clerical tasks including answering phones and scheduling exams.
• Reports equipment malfunction to supervisory personnel.
