Qualifications

• ARRT(R) certification is required.
• Radiologic technologist license in state of practice.
• BLS certification required for healthcare providers.
• May be required to complete the MA Competency Checklist and function as an MA in a clinic or InstaCare setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintains ARRT or modality-specific competency.
• Prepares patients for exams and verifies orders.
• Performs exams per protocol and reviews images for quality and accuracy.
• Adheres to radiation safety guidelines and maintains a safe work environment.
• Instructs students and other Radiology Techs in protocols and equipment.
• Provides patient education and ensures comfort.
• Follows infection control and sterile techniques.
