Job summary

MaineGeneral Medical Center is seeking an Interventional Technologist with experience in Interventional, Peripheral Vascular, and Cardiac Catheterization procedures. Training is available for the right candidate. Requires Radiologic Technology education beyond high school; an associate degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

Performs diagnostic imaging procedures in three or more modalities in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. Looking for experienced Interventional technologist, preferred experience in Vascular IR or Cardiac Cath Lab. Willing to train the right qualified candidate.

Job Description

Reviews patient history and physician's orders. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation. When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice. Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate. Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary. Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s). Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure. Enters, transmits and reports exam findings.

The Ideal Candidate

Experience in Interventional, Peripheral Vascular, and Cardiac Catheterization procedures, however, willing to train the right candidate. Radiological Technology School/Program beyond high school required; Associates degree preferred. Current State of Maine License for radiological Technology/Radiographer (RT) required. American Registry of Radiological Technology (ARRT) required.

Compensation Information

$27.83 - $48.70. The hourly pay range shown represents the base pay range for this position. Individual pay is determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, and market considerations. In addition to base pay, eligible team members may earn additional compensation through shift, weekend, holiday, on-call, and other applicable differentials.
