Job summary

The Senior Interventional Radiology Technologist role at MaineHealth's Maine Medical Center is a specialized clinical and administrative position performing vascular and neuro interventional procedures while supervising daily IR radiology operations.

Under the IR Manager and Physician Directors, you will ensure quality patient care, oversee staff, and participate in administrative tasks. Eligible candidates have ARRT radiologic technology licensure, BLS, and 5 years IR experience.

Qualifications

  • Five years interventional radiology experience required.
  • License as Radiologic Technologist through the State of Maine or obtain licensure prior to hire.
  • Advanced modality registry in VI or CV through ARRT preferred, BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

  • Performs vascular and neuro interventional procedures and supervises daily IR Radiology operations.
  • Reports to the Interventional Radiology Manager and coordinates with Physician Directors.
  • Assists in administrative tasks and supervision in the absence of IR Manager.

Summary

The Senior Interventional Radiology Technologist role is a specialized clinical and administrative position performing Vascular and Neuro Interventional procedures as well as supervising daily work in Interventional Radiology. Work is performed under the direction of the Interventional Radiology Manager in coordination with the Physician Directors of Interventional Radiology through discussion, reports, and observation of results achieved. Functions in an administrative role in the absence of IR Manager.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)
  • Education: Completion of a two year program of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology required.
  • License/Certifications: License as a Radiologic Technologist through the State of Maine or obtain licensure prior to hire required; Advanced modality registry in VI or CV through ARRT preferred, Current BLS Certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
  • Experience: Five years interventional radiology experience required.

The pay range for this position is $46.72to $63.22 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
