Job summary

The Interventional Radiology Technologist I at MaineHealth/Maine Medical Center is an entry level role supporting routine diagnostic and complex invasive neuro and peripheral procedures. You will work within established protocols and assist across oncology, trauma, urology, gastroenterology, and nephrology, gaining competence in a wide range of procedures.

Requirements include an ARRT-approved Radiologic Technology program (two years), Maine licensure, ARRT certification, and current BLS.

Qualifications

  • Two years of acute care imaging experience or one year advanced modality imaging experience.
  • Completion of ARRT-approved Radiologic Technology program.
  • Maine licensure as Radiologic Technologist and ARRT certification.
  • BLS certification either current or obtained within 30 days.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in routine diagnostic and highly complex invasive neuro and peripheral interventions.
  • Follow established protocols and guidelines for diagnosis and treatment.
  • Be competent across procedures referred by oncology, trauma, urology, gastroenterology and nephrology.

Summary

The Interventional Radiology Technologist I role is an entry level position and will assist in routine diagnostic and highly complex invasive neuro and peripheral interventions. The technologist is also required to be competent in a wide variety of procedures referred by oncology, trauma, urology, gastroenterology and nephrology. The technologist must follow established protocols and guidelines for use by providers in diagnosis and treatment of pathologies.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)
  • Education: Completion of a two year program of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology required.
  • License/Certifications: Licensed as a Radiologic Technologist through the state of Maine required; Certification in Radiography with the ARRT required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
  • Experience: Two years of acute care experience as an imaging technologist OR one year advanced modality imaging experience required.

The pay range for this position is $37.09to $50.17 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
