Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking a CT Technologist for Dallas Regional Medical Center - Mesquite, TX. The role is full time, evening shift, 1:00pm–11:30pm, with a 10-hour day. Responsibilities include operating CT/X-ray equipment, ensuring patient safety, and assisting radiologists.

A sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates. Requirements include state licensure with fluoroscopy permit, BCLS certification, and knowledge of regulations.

Qualifications

• State licensure and fluoroscopy permit required.
• National certifications in two modalities required.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certification.
• Familiar with State and Federal regulations.
• One year of Acute Clinical Radiography preferred.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and position them on the CT table, explaining the procedure with empathy.
• Operate CT scanners and X-ray machines to obtain images, optimizing quality while minimizing radiation exposure.
• Monitor patient safety and comfort during procedures.
• Assist radiologists and, as needed, administer contrast agents or perform related tasks.
• Maintain QA for CT/X-ray equipment and ensure proper function.

Location: Dallas Regional Medical Center - Mesquite, TX

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

• Prepare patients and ensure patients are properly positioned on the CT table and explain the procedure to them with empathy, address any concerns or questions they may have

• Operate CT scanners and/or X-ray machines to obtain images of the targeted body parts, which may involve adjusting the CT scanner settings tooptimizeimage quality while minimizing radiation exposure, radiation safetyat all times

• Monitor our patients, as a CT Technologist ensure their comfort and safety throughout the procedure

• Assistother radiologists, as you will work closely with them, who interpret the images you produced by the CT exam you may alsoassistin administering contrast agents or perform certain procedures

• Accountable for the quality assurance of CT scanners / X-ray machines to ensure they function properly and produceaccurateimages

• Responsible formaintainingradiologic supplies, making sure the equipment is in good operating order, and following protocolsregardinginfection control and hygiene

• Participate in Performance Improvement (PI) and Quality Control (QC) activities andassistinmaintainingPerformance Improvement Programs (PIP)

• Maintain your Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) and Kansas State Board of Healing Arts license
