Job summary

Prime Healthcare in Dallas Regional Medical Center – Mesquite, TX seeks a CT Technologist to operate CT scanners and radiographic equipment, ensuring patient safety and high-quality imaging.

You will position patients, explain procedures, monitor comfort, and support radiologists while preparing contrast agents when needed. A state license, ARRT-CT credential, and BCLS are required, with 1 year of acute radiology experience preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of acute, clinical radiology experience preferred.
• Knowledge of mobile and stationary Radiographic / Fluoroscopic equipment required.
• Extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology required.
• Radiology/ CT license and fluoroscopy permit as required by State.
• ARRT-CT Certification is required
• Must possess and maintain BCLS (AHA) upon hire.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and ensure patients are properly positioned on the CT table and explain the procedure with empathy.
• Operate CT scanners and/or X-ray machines to obtain images while minimizing radiation exposure.
• Monitor patients and ensure comfort and safety during procedures.
• Assist radiologists and administer contrast agents when needed.
• Ensure quality assurance of CT scanners / X-ray machines.
• Maintain radiologic supplies and ensure equipment is in good condition and hygienic.
• Maintain ARRT-CT certification status.

Shifts Available: Days (Saturday, Sunday and Monday)

Hours: 8-hour shifts – 7:00am to 7:00pm

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

• Prepare patients and ensure patients are properly positioned on the Computer Tomography (CT) table and explain the procedure to them with empathy, address any concerns or questions they may have
• Operate CT scanners and/or X-ray machines to obtain images of the targeted body parts, which may involve adjusting the CT scanner settings to optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure, radiation safety at all times
• Monitor our patients, as a CT Technologist ensure their comfort and safety throughout the procedure
• Assist other radiologists, as you will work closely with them, who interpret the images you produced by the CT exam you may also assist in administering contrast agents or perform certain procedures
• Accountable for the quality assurance of CT scanners / X-ray machines to ensure they function properly and produce accurate images
• Responsible for maintaining radiologic supplies, making sure the equipment is in good operating order, and following protocols regarding infection control and hygiene
• Maintain your register status for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

Qualifications
