Job summary

Prime Healthcare in Dallas is seeking a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic and CT procedures in a busy imaging department. The role requires Mammography experience, patient interaction, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

This full-time position offers daytime shifts, 11:00am–7:30pm, at Dallas Regional Medical Center in Mesquite, TX, with a sign-on bonus of $20,000 and opportunities to maintain ARRT certification and BCLS.

Qualifications

• Licensure and fluoroscopy permit as required by State.
• Current BCLS (AHA).
• Familiar with State and Federal regulations.
• One year of Acute Clinical Radiography preferred
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform Diagnostic Radiographic or other procedures according to department protocols
• Mammography Experience Required.
• Responsible for ensuring that X-ray equipment is functioning properly and that images meet quality standards, which may involve performing equipment checks, calibrations, and troubleshooting as needed
• Interact with patients to explain procedures, address concerns, and ensure their comfort and safety during X-ray examinations
• Maintain accurate records of X-ray procedures, including patient information, images, and relevant medical history
• Operate CT scanners and/or X-ray machines to obtain images of the targeted body parts, which may involve adjusting the CT scanner settings to optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure, radiation safety at all times
• Operate radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images, be able to perform C-Arm for fluoroscopic imaging and understand the fluoroscopy imaging techniques
• Maintain your Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) and maintain your register status for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
