Job summary

Dallas Regional Medical Center in Mesquite, TX is seeking a dedicated CT Technologist to operate CT scanners and radiography equipment, preparing patients and ensuring safety and comfort during imaging procedures.

You will monitor patients, assist radiologists, maintain equipment, and uphold ARRT-CT certification, BCLS, and infection control standards. This full-time role offers a 7:00 am–7:00 pm shift and a $20,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• One year of acute radiology experience preferred.
• Knowledge of radiographic/fluoroscopic equipment required.
• ARRT-CT certification and BCLS required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and position them on CT table with empathy.
• Operate CT scanners and X-ray machines, optimize image quality and minimize radiation.
• Monitor patient comfort and safety during procedures.
• Assist radiologists and administer contrast as needed.
• Ensure QA of CT/X-ray equipment and maintain supplies.
• Maintain infection control and ARRT registration.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and ensure patients are properly positioned on the Computer Tomography (CT) table and explain the procedure to them with empathy, address any concerns or questions they may have.
• Operate CT scanners and/or X‑ray machines to obtain images of the targeted body parts, adjusting the CT scanner settings to optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure, ensuring radiation safety at all times.
• Monitor patients, as a CT Technologist, ensure their comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
• Assist other radiologists, working closely with them, who interpret the images produced; may also assist in administering contrast agents or perform certain procedures.
• Accountable for the quality assurance of CT scanners/X‑ray machines to ensure they function properly and produce accurate images.
• Responsible for maintaining radiologic supplies, ensuring equipment is in good operating order, and following protocols regarding infection control and hygiene.
• Maintain registration status for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

Qualifications

• One year of acute, clinical radiology experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of mobile and stationary radiographic/fluoroscopic equipment is required.
• Extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is required.
• Radiology/CT license and fluoroscopy permit as required by state.
• ARRT‑CT certification is required.
• Must possess and maintain Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) (AHA) upon hire.
• Proficient computer skills.
