Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Radiography program.
• Associates degree and one year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred.
• Florida License in Radiography; ARRT registration (R); BLS certification within 90 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Produces high quality radiographic images for the Diagnostic Imaging department and related areas.
• Completes records and performs electronic entry accurately.
• Identifies patients, verifies orders, and analyzes exam information.
• Demonstrates knowledge of anatomy and positioning for imaging studies.
• Utilizes resources to achieve optimum exam and ensures proper labeling of images.
• Follows safety guidelines and participates in infection control and emergency procedures.
• Educates and screens patients for contraindications and maintains a clean work area.
• Maintains professional conduct and assists with staff training and supervision as needed.
• Performs quality control on scanners and equipment; supports multiple locations and variable shifts.
