The role requires graduation from an accredited radiography program and may require an associates degree with experience.

Florida radiography license, ARRT(R) registration, and BLS certification are required or expected within 90 days of start.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Radiography program.
• Associates degree and one year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred.
• Florida License in Radiography, ARRT registration (R) and BLS certification within 90 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Produces high quality images for the Diagnostic Imaging department and assigned areas meeting Mayo Clinic standards.
• Completes records, information and performs electronic entry accurately.
• Identifies patients using two identifiers, verifies orders and analyzes exam information.
• Demonstrates knowledge of anatomy and proper patient positioning for imaging studies.
• Learns radiographic protocols and projections to assist specialty providers.
• Directs safety guidelines and adheres to infection control policies.
• Maintains a clean, organized and stocked work area.
• Assists in orientation and education of new staff and students.
• Participates as educator/preceptor and provides feedback and supervision as necessary.
• Maintains professional conduct and communicates effectively with physicians and staff.

Education

Associates degree in Radiologic Technology

Florida License in Radiography

ARRT registration in Radiography (R)

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
