Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Florida seeks a Radiologic Technologist to produce high‑quality images for the Diagnostic Imaging department and other areas. You will identify patients, verify orders, and apply proper positioning and labeling while following safety protocols.

The role requires graduation from an accredited Radiography program, an Associates degree with 1 year of experience preferred, and Florida licensure with ARRT registration. BLS is required within 90 days of start date.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Radiography program.
• Associates degree and one year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred.
• Florida License in Radiography
• ARRT registration in Radiography (R)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of start date

Responsibilities

• Produces high quality images for the Diagnostic Imaging department and assigned areas.
• Completes records and performs electronic entry accurately.
• Identifies patients using two identifiers and verifies orders.
• Demonstrates knowledge of anatomy, body habitus, and patient positioning for imaging studies.
• Ensures correct identification and labeling of images and specimens.
• Learns radiographic protocols and necessary projections for specialty providers.
• Maintains safety and infection control guidelines and participates in emergency procedures.
• Educates patients and guardians on contraindications and exam preparation.
