Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Radiography program.
• Associates degree and one year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred.
• Florida License in Radiography and ARRT registration (R) are required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality images for the Diagnostic Imaging department and related areas including operating, pain management, and GI departments.
• Complete records, information, and perform electronic entry accurately.
• Identify patients using two identifiers, verify orders, and analyze exam information.
• Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy, body habitus, and patient positioning for imaging studies.
• Utilize resources to achieve optimum exam and ensure accurate labeling of images.
• Provide safety guidelines, infection control, and participation in emergency procedures.
• Educate and screen patients, families, and caregivers for contraindications to an exam.
