Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking a Radiologic Technologist I at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, KS. You will perform diagnostic X-ray procedures, operate radiographic equipment, and help produce high-quality images for diagnosis and treatment planning.

The role requires ARRT certification, KS licensure, ARRT-R designation, BCLS, and at least moderate experience in radiology. Excellent patient interaction and equipment maintenance are essential, with a 8-hour day shift from 7:30am to 4:00pm.

Qualifications

• ARRT registered and Kansas RT licensure required.
• ARRT-R designation and familiarity with State and Federal regulations.
• Current BCLS (AHA) and graduate of an accredited radiology program; JRCERT accreditation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic imaging procedures including radiography, CT, mammography, bone density, ultrasound and other examinations per department protocols.
• Ensure X-ray equipment is functioning properly with regular checks, calibrations and troubleshooting as needed.
• Interacting with patients to explain procedures, address concerns, and ensure comfort and safety during X-ray exams.
• Maintain accurate records of procedures, patient information, images and medical history.
• Stay updated on radiologic technology advancements and participate in continuing education to maintain licensure and certification.
• Operate radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images.

We are seeking a Radiologic Technologist I, internally referred to as our Radiology Tech I. The Rad Tech I will be conducting diagnostic X-ray procedures. This involves operating X-ray equipment to capture images of patients' internal structures for diagnostic purposes. An important role in assisting healthcare providers by producing high-quality images that aid in diagnosing medical conditions and formulating treatment plans for our patients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic imaging procedures such as radiography, CT scans, mammography, bone density tests, ultrasound, and other examinations following departmental protocols
• Responsible for ensuring that X-ray equipment is functioning properly and that images meet quality standards, which may involve performing equipment checks, calibrations, and troubleshooting as needed
• Interact with patients to explain procedures, address concerns, and ensure their comfort and safety during X-ray examinations
• Maintain accurate records of X-ray procedures, including patient information, images, and relevant medical history
• Stay updated on advancements in radiologic technology and participate in continuing education to maintain licensure and certification
• Operate radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images

Qualifications

• Registered in the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• State of Kansas RT licensure, or temporary permit issued by KS State Board of Healing Arts upon hire
• ARRT-R designation
• Must be familiar with State and Federal regulations
• Current BCLS (AHA)
• Graduate of an accredited radiology technology program required, JRCERT accreditation preferred
• Proficient computer skills
• At least one year of experience as a Radiology Technologist preferred
