Job summary

Ochsner Health seeks a radiologic technologist to assess patients and perform radiographic procedures according to safety protocols. You will mentor junior staff and require flexibility for a 24/7 schedule across facilities, with focus on accurate image capture and patient safety.

Qualifications include completion of a radiologic technology program, ARRT registry or eligibility and current BLS, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills to support a compassionate, inclusive team.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved radiologic technology program.
• ARRT registry or eligible and state license required within 90 days of employment.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Verifies physician order and procedure to ensure accuracy.
• Uses radiology information systems to facilitate care.
• Explains procedure to patient to ensure understanding.
• Independently operates equipment to complete imaging procedure according to protocol.
• Reviews patient images prior to transmission to ensure diagnostic quality.
