Job summary

Ochsner seeks an experienced Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic procedures according to safety protocols. You will mentor junior staff and students, and ensure image quality meets diagnostic standards.

Required ARRT certification and state license; BLS is also needed. You must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, and travel between facilities as needed.

• Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Verify physician orders and procedures for accuracy.
• Operate radiology equipment to complete imaging procedures.
• Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding.
• Review images for diagnostic quality before transmission.
• Maintain quality control and comply with regulatory standards.
• Assist in departmental operations, including inventory and scheduling.
