Qualifications

Completion of an approved radiologic technology program.
ARRT certification or registry eligible with ARRT within 90 days of employment.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Current unrestricted license in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

Verifies physician order and procedure to ensure accuracy.
Operates radiology equipment to complete imaging procedures according to protocol.
Explains procedures to patients to ensure understanding.
Reviews patient images for diagnostic quality and completes QC procedures.
Assists in departmental operations including inventory and staff scheduling.
Adapts communication and approach to diverse patient populations.
