Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist to perform advanced radiographic procedures and ensure patient safety. The role includes mentoring junior staff, supervising in the absence of the team leader, and leading quality initiatives across the department.

The ideal candidate has 5 years of radiologic technologist experience, ARRT certification, and a valid state license, plus BLS. Flexibility for 24/7 coverage and travel between facilities is required.

Qualifications

• Completion of a radiologic technology program in an AMA approved school.
• ARRT registration is required.
• Licensed by the Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Verify physician orders and procedure accuracy.
• Operate imaging equipment to complete procedures per protocol.
• Review images for diagnostic quality before transmission.
• Lead departmental programs and quality initiatives as needed.
• Assist in training junior staff and provide feedback during evaluations.
