Qualifications include completion of an approved radiologic technology program, ARRT registration or registry-eligibility, and a current BLS certification. Travel between facilities and a flexible schedule are expected.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved radiologic technology program.
• ARRT registration or registry-eligible with 90 days of employment and temporary state license.
• Current unrestricted license in the state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Experience with radiology information systems and patient communication.

Responsibilities

• Verifies physician order and procedure to ensure accuracy.
• Uses radiology information systems to facilitate care.
• Explains procedure to patient to ensure understanding.
• Operates imaging equipment and may assist with NG tubes, IVs, catheters, and contrast.
• Reviews images for diagnostic quality.
• Performs quality control and regulatory compliance.
• Assists in department operations (inventory, staff schedules, equipment maintenance).
• Adapts communication to patient population and privacy considerations.
