Qualifications

• ARRT(R) Registered Radiologic Technologist certification.
• BLS certification within 30 days.
• State license: Radiologic Technologist - Illinois IEMA.
• Education: Certificate of Completion in Radiologic Technology.
• Education: Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology.
• Work experience in related field.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiologic diagnostic procedures accurately within department guidelines.
• Acts as resource person for staff during radiographic procedures.
• Optimizes image quality with proper filters, collimation, and patient IDs.
• Maintains radiation protection and patient comfort during procedures.
• Troubleshoots equipment and maintains clean, stocked work area.
• Student and technologist training and leadership duties.
• Participates in QA/QC and quality improvement programs.
• Facilitates patient flow and timely reporting.
