Job summary

Advocate Health's radiology department in Downers Grove is seeking a dedicated Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging with precision and compassion. You will position patients, operate radiographic equipment, and ensure safety and privacy while delivering high-quality studies.

The role requires adherence to AIDET communication, proper ID verification, and collaboration with physicians and staff.

Qualifications

• Maintains active IEMA License or equivalent.
• Minimum experience as a Radiologic Technologist; new grad accepted.
• Knowledge of general diagnostic radiology practices and standards.

Responsibilities

• Position patient and adjust equipment to perform procedures.
• Identify patient correctly using two forms of ID as per protocol.
• Communicate with patients using AIDET to ensure comfort and cooperation.
• Enter exam charges and verify completion for radiologist interpretation.
• Maintain patient privacy and adhere to safety standards.
• Operate radiographic equipment and adjust technical factors for image quality.
• Maintain equipment, inspect rooms for hazards, and report issues.
• Support department operations and data center tasks as needed.
• Assist with fluoroscopy procedures and surgical rotations as required.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory standards (IDPH, IEMA, OSHA, ARRT, ASRT).
