Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiology procedures for patients of all ages under the direction of a Radiologist. The role requires independent judgment to adapt procedures for optimal diagnostic results while maintaining patient safety.

Qualified candidates hold ARRT(R) certification, BLS within 30 days, and an Illinois radiologic technologist license, with an associate degree or certificate in Radiologic Technology.

Qualifications

• ARRT-Registered Radiologic Technologist credential required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire (AHA).
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist – Radiography (Illinois).
• Certificate of Completion in Radiologic Technology; Associate degree in Radiologic Technology.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiologic diagnostic procedures ensuring accurate examinations per guidelines and standards.
• Exhibits competency and serves as a resource to staff during radiographic procedures.
• Ensures proper views for each exam using filters, collimation, markers, and patient identification.
• Maintains quality care by protecting patient comfort and applying radiation protection measures.
• Maintains equipment knowledge and acts as a troubleshooting resource.
• Keeps work area clean, stocks supplies, and ensures proper room readiness.
• Performs laboratory testing as appropriate.
• Supports department operations to ensure timely reporting and patient flow.
