Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic procedures for patients of all ages, under the direction of a Radiologist. The role requires independent judgment to adapt procedures for specific diagnostic results while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Qualified candidates hold ARRT registration, BLS within 30 days, and Illinois Radiologic Technologist licensure, with radiologic technology credentials.

Qualifications

• Registered in Radiography (R) - ARRT certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - AHA.
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist - Radiography - IEMA.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiologic diagnostic procedures accurately within department guidelines.
• Exhibits competency and serves as a resource for staff during radiographic procedures.
• Maintains image quality with appropriate filters, collimation, markers and patient ID.
• Ensures radiation protection and patient comfort throughout the procedure.
• Maintains equipment knowledge and acts as a resource for troubleshooting.
• Maintains clean work area and stocks supplies; participates in QA/QC programs.
