Job summary

Grady Health System seeks a Full-Time Radiologic Technologist to join our diagnostic imaging team in Atlanta. Under Radiologist supervision, you will perform diagnostic radiographic imaging across neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients, ensuring safety and adherence to imaging protocols.

You will collaborate with physicians and nurses to deliver high-quality images, manage workflow, and support patient-centered care in a fast-paced Radiology Department.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited Radiography Program required.
• Registered or registry-eligible with ARRT and must obtain ARRT certification within six (6) months of hire.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures for neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients.
• Prepare examination rooms to ensure safety, infection control, and hygiene standards.
• Identify patients using two identifiers and apply AIDET during interactions.
• Track patients through procedures to ensure workflow and documentation.
• Process, transfer, and archive images using PACS and reconcile daily exceptions.
• Evaluate radiographic images for technical quality and verify demographics.
• Apply appropriate lead markers and include technologist initials on images.
• Maintain imaging equipment through routine QC and calibrations.
• Clean and inspect rooms and report equipment issues.
• Assist with patient scheduling and departmental workflow.
• Ensure rooms remain stocked at shift end.
• Assist with training of Radiology staff and students.
• Practice radiation protection and minimize exposure.
