Job summary

Interactive One, LLC. is seeking a Promotions Assistant to support on-site promotions and event activities in the Richmond area.

This part-time role involves setting up and representing Radio One stations at events, assisting with promotions, and helping to raise public awareness through creative outreach. The role requires a valid driver’s license, a flexible schedule, and the ability to work with the Promotions/Marketing team to ensure successful events.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
• At least 2 years of driving experience.
• Flexible schedule with ability to work varied hours including weekdays and weekends.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
• Self-starter with ability to take and follow direction.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact with clients and listeners.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and represent station at on-site appearances and events.
• Assist with setup/execution of events, remotes, and appearances; maintain equipment.
• Develop, plan and carry out ways to increase public awareness of the station.
• Present a positive image and act as the contact for listeners during events and promotions.
• Maintain station vehicles and equipment.
• Set up and maintain proper equipment for live broadcasts and remotes.
• Coordinate with promotions team during events and promotions.
• Assist and coordinate with Marketing & Promotions Director and team.
