Job summary

Transdev North America is hiring a Radio Dispatcher in Las Vegas to oversee service for assigned carriers, monitor trip performance, and respond to customer inquiries with professionalism.

The role requires 3–5 years of dispatching experience and strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. It includes handling emergencies, coordinating with operators and emergency services, and ensuring on-time performance.

Qualifications

  • Requires High School Diploma or GED (Technical Degree preferred).
  • 3-5 years' experience dispatching.
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical abilities.
  • DOT drug testing may apply per regulation.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees road service assigned carriers by tracking trip performance measures and timetable adherence.
  • Provides customer support by responding to questions and concerns regarding trips, including no-shows, cancellations and missed trips.
  • Manages emergency situations for vehicle operators and serves as liaison with emergency services.
  • Reviews route performance daily to proactively respond to events affecting customer service.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Radio Dispatcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for public safety and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

CBA Position

  • $23.18 - $30.59 (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement PayScale)
  • Starting pay is $23.18 with progression to $30.69 over 10 years.
Benefits Include
  • Vacation : up to 25 days per year
  • Paid Sick Leave: 26 hrs. for full-time employees after 1st year worked progressing up to 40 hrs. after 3rd year worked.

Responsibilities
  • Oversees road service assigned carriers by tracking trip performance measures, route begin on time, performance, incidents, etc.
  • Provides customer support by responding to questions and concerns regarding customer trips including no shows, cancellations and missed trips.
  • Manages emergency situations for vehicle operators, act as liaison between the carrier and emergency services.
  • Manages daily service by reviewing route performance and proactively responding to situations that impact customer service
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED; Technical Degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years' experience dispatching.
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
  • The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
  • Work environment will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors.
