Job summary
Carle Health is seeking a full-time Radiation Oncology physicist to join our Peoria, IL team. You will provide comprehensive medical physics support for EBRT, brachytherapy, SRS, and SBRT and lead safety and QA programs in a collaborative clinical setting.
The role requires ABR certification and IEMA licensure, with leadership in radiation safety and staff education. Relocation and sign-on bonuses may be available for eligible candidates.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or PhD in Physics or a related field.
- ABR certification is required.
- IEMA license required for Radiation Therapy.
- Experience in medical physics or a related clinical setting is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical physics support for external beam, brachytherapy, SRS, and SBRT.
- Oversee acceptance testing, commissioning, calibration, and QA of equipment.
- Develop and maintain physics policies, procedures, and QA programs.
- Serve as Department Radiation Safety Officer and lead radiation safety initiatives.
- Collaborate with physicians, dosimetrists, and therapists on treatment planning and delivery.
