Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a full-time Radiation Oncology physicist to join our Peoria, Illinois team. The role includes providing physics support for EBRT, brachytherapy, SRS, and SBRT; collaborating with clinicians to ensure optimal treatment planning and patient care.

The ideal candidate will hold a Master’s degree or PhD in Physics or a related field, be ABR-certified in Therapeutic Radiologic Physics, and be licensed as an IEMA Radiologic Technologist in Radiation Therapy.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in Physics or related field.
• ABR Certification in Therapeutic Radiologic Physics is required.
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist – Radiation Therapy (IEMA) is required.
• Experience in medical physics or clinical setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical physics support for external beam, brachytherapy, SRS, and SBRT.
• Collaborate with physicians, dosimetrists, and therapists to optimize treatment planning and delivery.
• Oversee QA, commissioning, calibration, and equipment acceptance testing.
