Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a full-time Radiation Oncology physicist to join our Peoria, Illinois team. You will provide comprehensive medical physics support across EBRT, brachytherapy, SRS and SBRT, while upholding safety and quality standards.

You will collaborate with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists and therapists to optimize treatment planning and delivery, participate in safety initiatives, and contribute to education for staff and students.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Physics or related field.
• ABR certification required.
• IEMA license required.
• Medical physics experience in a clinical setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical physics support for radiation oncology services (EBRT, brachytherapy, SRS, SBRT).
• Support a collaborative physician-partnered practice environment.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (IEMA, NRC, ACR, DNV).
• Oversee equipment acceptance testing, commissioning, calibration and QA.
