Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a software-focused engineer to drive hardware integration test code and build robust testing frameworks. You will work with LabVIEW and Python to extend our test software, develop user interfaces, and oversee test systems at external facilities.

The role emphasizes collaboration with analysis and test engineers, maintaining high software quality, and advancing MBSE tools to enable faster development cycles in a space environment.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Computer Science or Computer/Electrical Engineering.
• 2+ years of experience in software development, ideally for test systems (LabVIEW, Python, or similar), with knowledge of object-oriented design, test automation, and software component development
• Experience with designing simple, custom hardware drivers for electronic test hardware (oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, etc.)
• Build, test, and deployment automation

Responsibilities

• Define and update hardware integration test code for various test hardware.
• Build upon our common software architecture, writing new libraries and optimizing test code.
• Participate in hardware demos utilizing LabVIEW and Python code, craft additions to our frameworks, and develop user interfaces.
• Drive and oversee use of test systems during tests at external test facilities.
• Engage with analysis and test engineers to speed up development and maintain software quality.
• Own the continued development of proprietary MBSE software.
