Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Radiation Engineer within ACE to lead radiation effects testing across electrical and avionics platforms. You will design test setups, automate data collection, and collaborate with facilities to execute tests for TID, DDD, and SEE, while contributing to test capability improvements.

Requirements include a BS with 5+ years in radiation design, analysis, and testing, plus hands-on hardware development and scripting skills. Domestic travel may be required.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Physics, CS, Nuclear Science, or related field with 5+ years of radiation experience.
• Hands-on experience developing automated test and measurement hardware.
• Understanding of radiation effects on electronics.
• EE fundamentals and lab equipment familiarity.
• US citizen or eligible for work; domestic travel required.

Responsibilities

• Develop custom radiation test setups.
• Develop software for test data collection and processing.
• Document radiation test plans and results.
• Interface with test facilities to schedule tests.
• Maintain radiation test database.
• Improve in-house radiation test capabilities.
• Advise on parts selection and test procedures.
