Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Radiation Engineer to lead EEE parts-level, circuit-level, and system-level radiation testing for mission-critical avionics. You will plan and execute tests for TID, DDD, and SEE, develop data collection software, and document results to support Blue’s space missions.

Required are a strong background in radiation effects on electronics, hands-on test experience, and collaboration across teams. Domestic travel may be required as part of program support.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Nuclear Science, or related field with 5+ years of proven radiation experience.
• Hands-on experience developing component test and measurement hardware in an automated and reproducible manner.
• Basic understanding of radiation effects on electronics and lab fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Develop custom radiation test setups.
• Develop custom software for test data collection and processing.
• Document radiation test plans and results.
• Interface with radiation test facilities to schedule and perform tests.
• Maintain radiation test database.
• Contribute to improvements in in-house radiation test capabilities.
