Job summary

Blue Origin in Seattle is seeking a Radiation Effects Engineer to join the Enterprise Engineering's Radiation Effects team within ACE. You will develop and lead radiation test plans, execute tests at external facilities (travel up to 25%), and mentor teammates on test standards across CMOS, GaN, GaAs, and related technologies.

The role emphasizes designing automated data collection, evaluating results, and advising parts selections to meet mission radiation hardness.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of space radiation effects testing (TID, DDD, SEE)
• Hands-on experience developing radiation test hardware
• Strong grasp of radiation effects on electronics
• Strong digital/analog circuit knowledge
• Experience with lab test equipment (power supplies, generators, SMUs, scopes)

Responsibilities

• Develop radiation test plans and reports (TID, DDD, SEE)
• Perform and lead radiation tests at external facilities (up to 25% travel)
• Develop automated data collection/processing for tests
• Evaluate radiation test data and advise parts selection
• Lead team through test procedures to meet cost/schedule constraints
• Mentor teammates on test standards for various tech types
• Maintain capabilities aligned with industry standards
