Job summary

MIT Lincoln Laboratory seeks a software engineer to develop the next generation of radar systems for space surveillance. You will design radar OS software, build user interfaces, and troubleshoot data processing issues, collaborating with scientists and engineers to demonstrate innovative concepts using real-world data and world-class sensors.

The role requires independence and team collaboration, strong communication skills, and a motivated, creative mindset aimed at national security

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Proficiency with C/C++ and Linux systems.
• Familiarity with MATLAB, Python, or other scientific programming languages.
• Preference for experience with publish/subscribe middleware.
• Demonstrated ability to solve software engineering challenges.

Responsibilities

• Develop software for next generation radar systems for space surveillance.
• Design and develop radar operating system software and user interfaces.
• Troubleshoot software and data processing issues; interface with mission partners.
• Collaborate in multi-disciplinary teams to transfer prototypes to operational capabilities.
