Job summary

MIT Lincoln Laboratory in Lexington, MA, seeks a radar/space-surveillance engineer to lead design and prototyping of advanced radar systems. You will work with scientists and engineers to translate mission needs into demonstrable concepts using world-class sensors.

The role emphasizes independent work, strong communication, and rapid prototyping in a national-security context, with occasional field test support.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• Bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in remote sensing (radar/EO) or RF systems.
• Ability to derive design specifications from high-level mission needs.
• RF cascade design, analysis, and measurement techniques.
• Analog/digital circuit analysis, PCB prototyping and testing.
• Antenna, RF, and microwave component integration and testing.
• Familiarity with full-wave EM solvers (HFSS, CST, FEKO).
• Ability to contribute effectively in multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead small to medium teams responsible for system development and test efforts.
• Work in a multidisciplinary team environment and maintain strong working relationships.
• Communicate effectively in both oral and written forms.
• Manage a project budget, schedule, and communicate status with stakeholders.
• Proficiency with MATLAB or Python and other scientific programming languages.
