Job summary

NXP Semiconductors is seeking a Field Application Engineer for Radar Systems in the Midwest, USA (remote). You will provide technical leadership in 77GHz radar architecture, assist customers with silicon selection, bring-up, and protocol stack integration.

You will deliver hands-on design support, on-site and remote proofs-of-concept, and lead training with stakeholders. As part of the Global Sales team, you will coordinate across engineering and customers, manage timelines, and document

Qualifications

• 3+ years of RTOS experience on ARM cores.
• Proficient in C embedded development and IDE tools.
• Strong understanding of ADAS applications including perception, sensor fusion, classification, and path planning.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.
• Able to work on-site at customer locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-sales technical leadership in 77GHz Radar systems architecture, silicon selection, bring-up, and protocol stack integration.
• Support customers in radar systems design including high end MPUs; design reviews, bench bring-up, debugging, tracing, root-cause analysis, and troubleshooting.
• Deliver on-site and remote proofs-of-concept builds using NXP evaluation kits.
• Lead technical training—webinars, workshops, and internal alignment sessions.
• Oversee project coordination across stakeholders, manage timelines, and document deliverables.
