NXP Semiconductors is seeking a Field Application Engineer for Radar System Global Sales in Austin, TX. You will provide pre-sales technical leadership for 77GHz radar systems, assist customers with MPU/MCU integration, and collaborate across engineering, sales, and product teams to win design-in opportunities.

The role combines hands-on hardware bring-up, software debugging, and customer-facing support with on-site visits and remote engagements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or master's in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
3+ years with RTOS on ARM cores and C embedded development.
ADAS-related knowledge: perception, sensor fusion, path planning.
Able to travel up to 50% and work on-site with customers.

Responsibilities

Provide pre-sales technical leadership in 77GHz Radar systems architecture, silicon selection, bring-up, and protocol stack integration.
Support customers in radar system design including high-end MPUs, schematic and PCB reviews, bench bring-up, debugging, tracing, root-cause analysis, and troubleshooting.
Deliver on-site and remote proof-of-concept builds using NXP evaluation kits.
Lead technical training—webinars, workshops, and internal alignment sessions.
Oversee project coordination across stakeholders, manage timelines, and document deliverables.
