Job summary

Robin Radar in the United States seeks an S&S Systems Engineer to ensure reliable operation of radar systems through fieldwork, customer support, and demonstrations. You will troubleshoot issues, analyze performance, and drive product improvements with close collaboration with PM, Product Owners, and I&D teams.

The role requires a Bachelor's in EE/CS/IT, 3-5 years of related experience, strong Linux/Netplan skills, and willingness to travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of electrical engineering experience combining software, Linux, and field hardware.
• Solid hands-on Ubuntu Linux administration including system services, log analysis, and package management.
• Strong network configuration skills using Netplan, SSH, port forwarding, firewalls, and routing.
• Experience with radar systems or similar industrial hardware.
• Ability to analyze network diagrams and trace connectivity issues effectively.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a team-first, practical mindset.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Valid driver's license for North America.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Technical support and integration: Provide daily and on-call end-user support focused on software-hardware integration.
• System and database performance: Oversee database, system, and server performance while managing security and functionality updates.
• On-site maintenance and hardware repair: Address malfunction issues on the spot during client visits.
• Network configuration and Linux administration: Configure system networking using Netplan on Ubuntu for VLANs, static routing, and sensors.
• Preventive maintenance and data analysis: Conduct regular remote or on-site inspections using monitoring tools to address vulnerabilities early.
• Field operations and subcontractor management: Manage sub-contractors on location to ensure compliance with service contracts and quality standards.
