Job summary
Leidos Defense Systems in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Radar Engineer to tackle complex sensor and radar problems. You will contribute to radar signal processing, tracking algorithms, and system simulations, working with a diverse team to deploy advanced sensor solutions.
The role requires a Master’s in Electrical/Computer Engineering, US citizenship, and the ability to obtain DoD clearance. Relocation to northern Alabama is a plus and collaboration is essential.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from ABET-accredited school.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.
- Residence in Northern Alabama or relocation to Huntsville, AL.
- Strong technical background with radar modeling, simulation, antenna theory, DSP, tracking, and algorithm development.
- Experience collaborating with teams to solve difficult radar algorithm problems and peer-review new algorithms.
- Solid fundamentals in DSP, tracker algorithms, MATLAB, Python, and radar simulation/modeling.
- Desired: Electromagnetics, modern C++, Linux familiarity.
Responsibilities
- Support advanced radar programs, including development of signal processors and tracking algorithms.
- Simulate radar systems and test RF sensors in field environments.
- Collaborate with engineers to improve performance and reduce processing latency by evaluating new algorithms.
