Job summary

Leidos Defense is seeking a Senior RF Engineer in Huntsville, AL to join a multidisciplinary team developing advanced RF hardware for aerospace and defense applications. You will design, test, and troubleshoot RF subsystems and collaborate across engineering disciplines throughout the product lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in high-speed electronics, radar/communications principles, and hands-on lab experience with precision measurement tools. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
• 12+ years in high-speed electronics or 10+ years with MS.
• US Citizenship and ability to obtain secret clearance.
• Experience designing analog/mixed-signal PCBs or RF/microwave assemblies.
• Expertise in radar and communications principles.
• Hands-on lab experience with test instruments (network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators).

Responsibilities

• Design, troubleshoot, and test RF exciters, transmitters, and receivers.
• Design, troubleshoot, and test RF PCBs, modules, and chassis across multiple bands (L-band, S-band, C-band, X-band, Ku-band, Ka-band).
• Collaborate with firmware/software engineers through product lifecycle to develop application software and test equipment.
• Engage with manufacturing teams to apply DFM practices and resolve issues during manufacture and test.
• Integrate products into larger systems by working with system design teams.
