Job summary
Leidos Defense Systems is seeking a Radar Engineer to join a diverse team working on advanced radar programs, signal processors, and tracking algorithms. You will collaborate with engineers to optimize performance and latency, exploring new algorithms and sensor deployments.
The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical or Computer Engineering (ABET) with 2–4 years of experience or a Master’s with less than 2 years, and US citizenship with final secret clearance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an ABET-accredited school; 2–4 years of experience or a Master’s with less than 2 years of experience.
- Experience in radar algorithm development and/or radar analysis.
- Experience or willingness to lead a team of engineers; peer review, oversee tasks, and other team lead activities.
Responsibilities
- Support advanced technology radar programs including development of radar signal processors, radar tracking algorithms, advanced sensors in EW environments; simulation of radar systems; field-testing of RF sensors and systems; deployment of advanced sensor systems.
- Collaborate with other engineers to improve performance and reduce processing latency; explore newer algorithms from literature for potential improvements.
