Job summary

RTX is seeking a Section Leader in Plano, TX to lead the Processing Production Design Support team within the Airborne RF Electronics Design Department. The role focuses on production and sustainment of radar hardware, mentoring ~15 direct reports, and engaging in staff training and career development.

Responsibilities include performance management, hiring support, and collaboration across sections. This onsite role requires a STEM degree, 8+ years of experience, and active US security

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience leading an engineering team.
• Experience in radar hardware production and sustainment.
• Ability to assist with proposals, engineering reviews, program and/or customer reviews.
• Active U.S. government security clearance and U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Performance management and career development activities.
• Oversee direct line management for the section including communication, performance management, career development, and talent acquisition.
• Collaborate and communicate with other sections and teams.
• Support department and directorate level initiatives.
• Ensure employee compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Oversee resolution of personnel issues.
• Manage employee timecards and staffing assignments.

• Serve as technical lead or contribute as an individual contributor (about 20% of time).
