Job summary
RTX’s Advanced Airborne RF Sensors group in Plano, TX seeks a Senior Radar Systems Engineer to drive development, analysis, and integration of complex airborne radar systems onsite. You will translate requirements into hardware and software specifications while balancing cost, schedule, and risk.
Collaboration across software, systems, reliability, and test teams is essential. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in RF/radar, data analysis, and system design, with DoD clearance and a STEM degree.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 5+ years of RF/radar experience.
- Active and transferable U.S. government Secret clearance required.
- Experience with radar system simulation tools and real-world radar installations.
- Experience translating requirements into hardware and software specs.
Responsibilities
- Learn and understand complex radar systems across domains.
- Support development, analysis, and integration of radar systems.
- Analyze large datasets and perform functional and timeline assessments.
- Translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
- Perform system integration, planning, verification & validation, and risk assessments.
- Evaluate solution options using metric-based analysis.
- Develop new system solutions and support existing configurations.
- Research system documentation to understand current operations.
- Present findings and collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
