Zusammenfassung

RTX is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern for summer 2026 to assist in the design and integration of radar system equipment, focusing on mechanical design, hardware integration, and supporting power and cooling systems.

The role requires ongoing mechanical engineering coursework, CAD experience, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance. This onsite internship offers exposure to hardware design and cross-team collaboration within the Radar Mechanical Design Department.

Qualifikationen

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering and actively enrolled through the internship period.
• Minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship/co-op session.
• Experience using CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, Fusion 360, or equivalent.
• Experience with mechanical hardware documentation or drawing standards.

Aufgaben

• Training and application of RTX tools including CREO and PDM to perform design tasks.
• Design and Documentation support utilizing engineering tools, Adobe, and MS Office suite.
• Utilize proven problem-solving skills and experience in Engineering Analysis.
• Collaborate with coworkers and various teams in the Radar Design Department to support business objectives of the organization.
• Perform Mechanical Tolerance Analysis using Geometric Dimension and Tolerance best practices.
